Passing
Stirling Castle, travel through the lands of the Campbells and the MacGregors,
over Rannoch Moor. Head north to Glencoe and Ben Nevis; then from Fort William,
take the Road to the Isles and sail on the ferry to Skye or will your guide
continue North through the magnificent Five Sisters of Kintail and over the
Skye Bridge to our accommodation in the picturesque harbour town of Portree?
A
relaxing day to explore the Island, taking in many of the world renowned locations
such as the Cuillins, the bizarre rock formations of the Quiraing and the Old
Man Of Storr; the famous `Talisker` distillery and Dunvegan Castle ( the oldest
inhabited castle in Britain). Then enjoy another free evening exploring the
many attractions of Portree.
Heading
homewards one of the highlights is a visit to Eilean Donan Castle featured in
several movies including Highlander.Our lunch stop is at Fort Augustus a village
commanding spectacular views of Loch Ness. Continuing southwards through the
Grampian mountains, Loch Laggan, by Blair Castle and Pitlochry, on our return
to Edinburgh.
